The US will supply 80km range rockets to the Ukraine

Well, the US is assuring Russia that those rockets will not be used against Russian territory, just against Russian artillery inside Ukraine, just out of reach of Russian artillery.

Leaving aside Crimea and Donbass, which technically are not Russia for US purposes but are for Russian purposes, let´s give the US the benefit of doubt and believe that.

Even then this represents a huge escalation, a true provocation of Russia.

That also means things are going quite bad for the Ukrainians and even when faced with the choice of letting Ukraine lose or keeping it alive and forcing a huge famine in parts of Africa and Asia, America is slowly moving towards escalation.

The US alliance must shake for Americans to avoid escalation. The fact that Europe just signed the sixth package of sanctions kind of gives the US carte blanche to keep provoking. Europeans haven´t hurt enough, it seems.
